What recourse is there for users who upgraded not knowing that the software was being discontinued?

I believe Adobe was being intentionally disingenous here. They sent me an email warning me to updgrade before 12/31/12 before major price increases. Then Adobe discontinues the computer-based model all together four months later? That's not right. I would not have paid $1000 to updgrade if they had been clear and honest about their intentions. This is just wrong.
