Sad day. Internet cost at hotels and airports + subscription. $$$

I have been with Adobe Creative Suite since CS2. I use my educator discount to have this software ready to go on my laptop and desktop (yes read the license agreement, you are allowed to do this). With CS3, I think I only used it 6 times. CS5 I have used twice a month. No way am I going to pay for a subscription service that requires internet access to use the program. I don't always have internet access. I mostly use CS on the plane with no internet access, or in the commons where internet access is hit or miss.

Sorry Adobe I played you game with poor product activation. That was sad but it worked usually. With that you could not access your account and deactivate software via internet like you can de-authorize a device in iTunes, Norton Security, Audible and many other products. You had to be in front of your computer with the software installed and activated in order to deactivate it. This did nothing for crashed hard drives and stolen computers.

Now they are implementing a anti-piracy policy that requires internet access every time you use the software.

Corel has been gaining a strong foothold in circles I am in including a photography hobby group. They have bought competitors and merged them into stronger software. I will now be using Corel software.

I cannot believe Adobe would do this to customers. This is not what we wanted or asked for. As for people thinking Adobe is the only game in town, they are not.

The student / educator pricing stinks under this new plan.
