No standard License, and no upfront Annual Payment?

Ok this is getting silly.  No standard License is bad enough but I tried to sign up (with my CS6 special offer) and could not pay annually, only monthly.  I know this wont be a problem for some but this is not how I run my business.  I spoke to a representitive on chat and he informed me this was not possible (paying up front).  The only way to do it was buy a boxed version of CC which would not include my CS6 discount. 

 

So as I understand it, the following is happening:

 

1) Adobe is forcing everyone to use CC

2) Adobe is forcing everyone to pay Monthly, even though paying annually would provide the same income to adobe.

3) The chat support staff havent got a clue on what to tell their customers.

 

I dont see why I should have to change the way I pay for things in my business because Adobe decide they want monthly installments.  I am happy (to a degree) to use CC, but why cant I pay for the full year up front?  It makes no sense.

 

I can see alot of customers jumping ship because of this farce.
