membership question

i would select the one app membership and since its one app can you switch between the apps. example: you want to create an effect and your ating a tutorial but you have to use phothosp then after effects, can you go to photoshop, only use that, then go to ae and only use that..both one at a time? i doubt it but still a valid question i think
