Updating CC Desktop

When trying to access CC Desktop today, I learned that an update was available which I needed to install before accessing the ap. After waiting 15 minutes or more for the download, I was informed in a screen message that "Administrator privileges are required to continue with the installation".

 

I am the sole user of this computer and do so with administrator privielges. I have tried several more times to download and get the same message. I have logged in again and still get the same message.

 

So now, as the sole user and administrator of this computer, I'm at a loss as to what to do to proceed past this obstacle.
